War In Iraq

My biggest qualm with the War in Iraq is the futileness of it. First we want to capture the bogeymen responsible for 9/11. Next there are WMD, and then we want to stop insurgents from killing civilians, now we want to establish Democracy. The "why" keeps changing in a war with undefined goals and minimal result. Why is it SO important that Democracy reign in Iraq....Iran, Syria and every other nation in the Middle East is tribunal, dictators, monarchs- all OVER the world in fact, democracy is little more than capitalist ideology... how are we suppose to change any regime when we ourselves are a divided Republic.
What RIGHT do we have to change the ideology that has existed for thousands of years? If it is truly for want to make the world a "better place" we would be in Ethiopia and other African nations, in poor Asian and European areas. Down in Central America and Mexico- truly making change for humanitarian reasons. But there is no wealth there, no monetary or political gain to be won. Genocide, disease, hunger kill millions a day, yet we are "reaching out to Iraqis from their own welfare" even though Middle Easterners are the LEAST likely to ever want American interference. I respect and stand by my President as much as I can, I do not want another 9/11...but fear tactics in an ill conceived war are not the way to keep our nation safe. I would rather see those troops scouring the subways and borders; use intelligence that’s trying to find a cave that may or may not contain Osama- instead looking at financial records, patterns, people entering US, and watching us HERE not from abroad. We do need a strong military, but we need it protecting us, intelling us, showing our strength in front of US, not weak and foolhardy abroad. The followers of liberal leaders, screaming in protest without any idea in their head other than the person currently babbling on their soapbox of nothing real, simply utopian, impractical ideas- fuck you. To the blindly following conservative that thinks people are too stupid to see hidden agendas and preach patriotism over reality- fuck you. Politicians do NOT represent Americans; they haven't for a long time. Out with career politicians, out with PACs, and out with the money of politics, out with centralized Bureaucracy, its time to return to the Government BY the people and FOR the people. State Rights over Federal Rights, and this centralized government power must be questioned. Thomas Jefferson was a brilliant man and I will leave you with a few quotes:

An honest man can feel no pleasure in the exercise of power over his fellow citizens.
We in America do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.

Enlighten the people, generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like spirits at the dawn of day.

The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive.

Poem that came to me last night in my dream

Today we sat close, my new friend and I
Both wondering, talking, trying to decide
How to explain, what God meant to us
Not even quite sure, whom we could trust
He leaned in and whispers, I know he’s inside
Both you and I, and all of mankind
I nodded and smiled, I knew he was right
I knew that the answer, was close to our sight
We sat there in silence, as time continued to pass
So close to the answer we wanted to grasp
I took a deep breath, close to despair,
The answer so close, gone in thin air
I looked all around and then up in the room
There sat a man on a cross, my head filled with doom
But his eyes were not sad, instead quite the other
They will full of compassion he felt for his brother
I turned to my friend, now understanding
It’s not about color, creed, or demanding
Our Lord came to us, in body and flesh
To show us the way that most of us missed
He came here and died, not just for believers
But for all of the fallen, lost and true seekers
Open your mind, and open your heart
Look for forgiveness at the very start
Forgiveness for yourself, you may not feel earned
And seek it with sorrow, regret, and what’s learned
Feel your heart grow, now complete and whole
his death on a cross, he died for your soul
No longer filled with sadness or dread
I looked at my friend, with tears and I said
Christ still loves me; for all that I’ve done,
Despite what I’ve said, or the people I’ve shunned
It’s never too late, to always remember
Christ is with you, if you only surrender
Give up the vices, the hate and the pride
Give up the anger, resentment inside
Suddenly my heart lifts, as I finally know
Together in life, Ill continue to grow
In spirit in body, I finally feel free
From demons and monsters, feeding off me
With God in my Spirit
With Christ in my heart,
I’m never alone
We’re never apart.

The 4th To Me

What the 4th means to me has changed. Growing up, it was about family gatherings, and playing with sparklers, and scolding my brother for putting firecrackers in the dog's house. As I grew up, I realized it was about something bigger. Its about the birth of a nation that has changed the course of mankind. Its about a nation that has evolved in religion, techonology and humanity, being a forefront in human advancement. Its a foundation based on opportunity, acceptance and brotherhood. Tonight, as I reflect, I cannot seem to marvel in the beauty of our nation. Instead, I am saddened by the division of our nation and path it has taken. I hurt for every soldier that sleeps on a cold cot in a hostile nation that wishes to exterminate their loved ones. I cry that I am in constant defense of my nationality not just to foreigners, but to my neighbor. I want to claim American Pride without feeling like a racist, xenophobe elite nationalist....but I dont know my place anymore. "Made in the USA" is a tag that carries a stigmatism. I admire Canada, Australlia, so many other nations, but for some reason, to take pride in America is to disvalue other nations and that is not farther from the truth.
I guess, on this day, I want to remember our forefathers and not bastardize their intent. I want to pray for the soldiers without being condemned for not acting secular. I want to show national pride, while showing that all men should be working together for a progressive global society.
This isnt an intent to start a debate,I just need to get this off my chest. Thanks

Pretty accurate!

You Have a Choleric Temperament

You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things.
Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life.
You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation.

You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon.
Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall.
You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.

At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults.
Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion.
A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior.

Musing While Driving

There is the road I drive on to work. Its a side road, but gets quite a bit of traffic. and here is why I am writing about it, its about the width of two lanes going each direction, but there is absolutely NO lines. Basically everyone that drives is torn, 50 pecent drive in the middle assuming its just a "spacious" lane (think like Kramer and when he adopted that highway) The other half of the people try to pass you by running you off the road. I dont think anyone really knows but you can tell by the way everyone looks at eachother they think they are right....me...i just hug the outside lane if they wanna pass me they can squeek by. This has kept me up at night...
